Hi. My name is Glen Brown. I'm a writer, drummer and teacher. And the founder of Hamilton Musician.

In 2012 I published Greater Hamilton Musician Magazine, a 48 page full-colour glossy magazine about greater Hamilton's amazing musicians. Two thousand of them were distributed around the greater Hamilton area. In 2013, 2500 copies of our second edition of Greater Hamilton Musician Magazine were published. In early 2015, 4000 copies of our special JUNO Awards third edition were printed and distributed.

The third edition of Greater Hamilton Musician also included the first-ever directory of musicians and music businesses published in Hamilton. A successful crowd-funding campaign helped to enlarge our community of readers and build our directory.

Dozens of local music businesses and music tradespeople have been excited to sponsor the magazine. Our goal is to make it unlike anything else by being of superior quality and by telling the stories that make Hamilton a unique "music city."

I have been playing drums professionally for 35 years, teaching music for 25 years, and have taught hundreds (thousands?) of children. I can relate to gigging musicians, busy music teachers, and the process of learning and coaching music.
