Burn The Louvre: Worth A Listen

Burn The Louvre is a four piece indie band, all born and raised in Hamilton, ON. Here's what band member Jordan Speare has to say:

"My younger brother Dylan (21 years old) and myself (24) split the frontman duties down the middle, with myself playing rhythm guitar and my brother on lead guitar (he's always been better than me haha). Our drummer Raul Gutierrez (21) has been a great friend of ours since elementary school, while our bassist Chris Carranza (24) has been a great friend of ours since high school. We essentially grew up playing music together, forming bands in high school, learning what it takes to be in a band, and through our mistakes learning what it takes to be in a successful band.

After some time apart working on different projects, the four of us all got together again and the timing was just too perfect. It only felt natural to be working together again.

With influences ranging from indie rock pioneers The Pixies to modern indie darlings Arctic Monkeys, along with a healthy dose of Canadian flavour (think: Arkells, Sam Roberts Band, July Talk, Death From Above 1979) we like to think we offer something for everyone whether you're into our style of music or not.

Our goals for 2015 are to record another album (be it another EP or a full-length debut) and to establish ourselves as one of the city's elite rock n' roll acts alongside the likes of Young Rival, The Dirty Nil & The Zilis (which are some of the local bands we especially admire)."
