  • In 2010, the sound recording industry’s estimated national impact was approximately $400 million.
  • The average salary in the music industries in Canada is $58,400, which is substantially above the average of all industries at $42,700.


The JUNO Awards


  • The JUNO Awards could generate an economic impact of over $10 million for Hamilton.
  • JUNO Week (March 9-15) offers free and ticketed events that draw tourists to stay overnight; with Hamilton hotels projecting 5,200 room nights to be booked.
  • JUNOfest (March 13-14) will engage approximately 15+ live music venues and restaurants in our downtown.

  • Hamilton has hosted the JUNO Awards five times; in 1995, 1996, 1997, 1999 and 2001.
