Music Trust Fund Concerts Liven Up Hamilton Summertime

This summer series of concerts is co-sponsored by the Downtown BIA and the Hamilton Musicians’ Guild, Local 293, AFM with co-funding from the Music Performance Trust Fund (MPTF). The Music Performance Trust Fund is funded via a royalty stream from the signatory record labels, led by the three major labels, Sony Music Entertainment, Universal Music Group, and the Warner Music Group, and with the help of locals of the American Federation of Musicians, presents thousands of live, admission-free musical programs annually in the United States and Canada.

The "SOUL CATS" performed some great funk and soul music at the Gore Park Summer Promenade on Thursday evening August 7, 2014. Another group of talented Hamilton musicians with Loralee McGuirl on vocals, Mark LaForme, guitar, harmonica & vocals, Bruce Tournay on keys & vocals, Bill Holinaty on the sax, Sean O'Grady on drums and Neil Nickafor on bass. The goup had an amazing groove happening and the rhythm section was right in the pocket.
